The Raleigh-Durham area is the No. 2 “hotbed” in the U.S. for life sciences employment, according to a recent report by the life sciences division of JLL, a professional services firm specializing in commercial real estate services and reported by Biospace.com.
The rankings are based on the following factors: Life sciences employment concentration, employment growth, VC and NIH funding for local life sciences organizations and life sciences patents produced in 2014.
